Kids Cartoon Voiceover Workshop | Austin TX

Does your child love acting, creating characters, watching animation, or bringing video game characters to life?

This fun, hands-on workshop introduces young performers to the world of cartoon and character voice acting. Participants will learn how voice actors use acting, imagination, movement, facial expression, and vocal choices to create memorable characters behind the microphone.

This workshop is designed for kids who already enjoy performing and would be excited to explore voiceover in a professional studio environment. Prior voiceover experience is not required, but it is helpful if participants have some previous acting or performance experience through activities such as school plays, drama club, musical theatre, improv, community theatre, acting classes, or UIL One-Act Play.

During the workshop, participants will:

• Explore cartoon and video game character acting

• Learn basic microphone and studio technique

• Practice reading and interpreting short scripts

• Experiment with character voices, emotions, and physical choices

• Learn how to listen and respond to direction

• Record an individual character performance
  

Each participant will receive an MP3 of their individually recorded performance following the workshop.

This is an interactive acting workshop rather than a general drop-off camp. It is best suited for enthusiastic young performers who genuinely enjoy acting, storytelling, animation, cartoons, or video games and are comfortable participating in group exercises.

No unusual voices or advanced voiceover skills are expected. We are looking for creative kids who are ready to play, make bold acting choices, support their fellow performers, and have fun behind the microphone!!

Tuition: $199

Includes professional studio instruction, an individual recording session, and a take-home MP3.

We are also happy to film your child’s performance at the microphone. Video recording is optional and will only take place with written permission from a parent or legal guardian. Parents are welcome to attend to observe!
